World class dance photographer Stephen Marino effervesces, "my focus is to capture your best." Stephen specializes in photographing dance as art, with particular interest in play on light and shadow and alluring composition. Stephen shoots for some of the world's most prestigious dancers and competitions -- among them, Dancing With The Stars pros. His work appears in publications worldwide. As Photographer for Proyecto Tango , he takes his art to a whole new level empassioning his vision, painted with light and exquisite imagination.
Gathering inspiration from throughout the world in places like Cape Town, South Africa, Barcelona, Spain, the U.S., and of course Buenos Aires, Argentina, Stephen captures the most provocative details of tango lifestyle and its dancers with a distinctly creative eye. Simply stated, he's a pure artist of photography.
Pat Pitula is the Wordsmith behind Proyecto Tango . Happily obsessed dancer, writer and graphic designer, she's immersed in tango culture both professionally and privately and combines passion for dance and design whenever possible. Her mantra is “dance changes everything.” Pat 's intoxicating and succulent narratives enhance each image with uniquely layered sensory interpretation, completing the story beyond what the eye perceives.
Another tango obsession is in Pat’s role as editor/art director for Tango Life & News , the newly launched eZine designed to bridge Argentine tango with global culture. And as freelance consultant, her integration of print/web design, writing/editing, promotion/marketing personalizes unique visual presence for various clients.
Additionally, Pat is a dedicated tanguera and dance instructor of Argentine tango, ballroom, and Latin styles.
